Memories of David Ostrom
I
really enjoyed your web site. Pretty interesting isn't it? I went through it
and loved it. It was sent to me by a fellow soldier who served with me at Camp
King from the mid 80s (June 84 through June 87). There are a number of us and
we shared your web site today.
I was the first Executive Officer of the
newly formed 1st TMCA in 1986. I also visited Camp King many times earlier and
landed by copter on the field just as pictured in the photo. In the 70s we in
VII Corps (2nd Support Command) and were planning REFORGERS and WINTEX
exercises. I really miss that place. It is sad to think it and the era it
represents are now gone.
